Harrison's Last Days of Preschool

May was a very busy and important month as Harrison's preschool days came to an end.  We started the month with an amazing Mother's Day Tea.  As I've learned with just about everything at St. Francis--they celebrate big!  The 4's classes joined together for a wonderful performance in the sanctuary.  Good thing I had tissues!  But first, each student presented his/her mother with a handmade bonnet and escorted us to our seats.  After the singing, we were again escorted into another room for lunch.  The tables were beautifully decorated with handmade flowers and the walls were adorned with portraits of each mom.  Each preschooler pulled out our chair, got our drinks and food, and made sure we had all we needed.  All of the kids were so proud of themselves, and Harrison was thrilled to be able to wait on me.  Something I could get used to!

My handsome escort.

I could tell he was so excited to show me what was on his paper.

 Look at these handsome faces!

According to Harrison, he and Harper are engaged!

Love you, buddy!

One week later, we celebrated Harrison's preschool graduation.  Again, we were treated to a performance, and again the tissues were needed.  Each child was given a diploma.  Harrison said his favorite part of preschool was doing the crafts, and that he wants to be a builder when he grows up.  He was very excited about his "gradulation," especially since we had just traveled to Uncle Matthew's college graduation.

"Look, there's my mom and dad!"

Getting ready to receive his diploma.

We love Mrs. Miranda and Mrs Becky.

He was so proud to show off his self-portrait because he painted a VT on his shirt.

After the ceremony we took Harrison out to lunch.  He chose McDonald's for his celebration meal.

And on his very last day of school, we celebrated with many of his classmates on a very hot day! The kids rode bikes and scooters, played basketball, and basically ran around having fun for a few hours Here the kids are enjoying some popsicles at Weston's house.
