Two years have gone by in a flash, but we've certainly had a lot of fun. Harrison is such a blessing to our family. He makes us laugh on a daily basis.

Here are some things that I want to remember about him at this age.
- He is VERY attached to me at the moment. I have to do pretty much everything for him or we have a meltdown. Justin is a little put out by this, but seems pretty happy not to have to change many diapers. At night, Harrison will grab my hand and drag me to his room saying "mommy do it", meaning get his PJs on, read him a story, and put him to bed.
- He LOVES his cars. His favorite thing to do is line up all of his cars and show them to you. Sometimes he sweetly asks, "Mommy play cars with me?" Once in awhile he will actually share a few with me, but most of the time he wants me to sit next to him but not touch anything! If I ask for one, he'll tell me: "No play cars with me anymore. Harrison's." And he folds his arms across his chest.
- He really loves to show us he's mad by folding his arms across his chest and pronouncing that he will not (fill in the blank) anymore. He pronounces more like "meer". We hear NO MEER a lot around here. He has got his pouty face perfected.
- Harrison and Lily play nicely together many times during the day, but they also fight multiple times a day. A big point of contention around our house is who is first and who is last in anything. Getting in and out of the car can set them both into hysterical crying fits. I pray that this phase will end quickly. They also love to sing songs, especially from our Praise Baby DVDs. But this can quickly escalate into a yelling match over who is allowed to sing the songs. There's nothing quite like hearing your kids sweetly singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" in one moment, then screaming it the next.
- Harrison knows the letters of the alphabet already, and loves to point out letters in books, signs, etc. He can count to 10 easily, but sometimes counts on to 12 and then we hear "duh-teen, duh-teen, duh-teen" for awhile before he hits 20. It's pretty funny. I credit his counting ability to playing Hide and Seek with Lily. He loves to play.
- A few weeks ago, Harrison hurt himself when he fell out of the car while trying to get in his car seat. He hit his head very hard and had a rather large bump on his head, a black eye, and a cut on his lip. This was quite a traumatic experience for all of us. Since then, every night before bed, he asks to rock his doggy because "Doggy has a boo boo on his head because he fell out of the car." I don't think he's going to forget about that injury anytime soon.
- His favorite books: Good Night Moon, The Little Blue Truck
- His favorite foods: Dole Mandarin oranges, cheese sticks, applesauce with a lid (as he calls it), chips of almost any kind, macaroni and cheese, pasta, cupcakes (what he calls muffins or cake of any kind), peas.
- His favorite TV shows or DVDs: Caillou, Praise Baby, Baby's Day, Doc McStuffins
- He still needs his pacifier (blalala) and his Doggy. We've restricted his paci use to naptime and bedtime, but he carries Doggy around with him often. Sometimes when we get home he will run to Doggy, hug him close, and say "my favorite!"
- He loves to tackle, fall down, be tickled, and generally rough house. He also loves to climb everything. Lately he's been very successful at climbing up onto the kitchen table before I can get to him. This is a favorite evening activity for both kids--Tackle Daddy.
- He wants to do everything himself. Self is another word we hear frequently. This is very reminiscent of our Lily when she was two, but I think Harrison is much more adamant about doing more things independently.
- He has taken to calling us mom and dad once in awhile, rather than mommy or daddy. He sounds so grown up when he does so. He loves to ask a question or make a statement and then say, "right mom?"
- I love that both of our kids enjoy reading. Harrison will "read" his favorite books he has memorized. Lily is sounding out simple words, can recite text from memory, and still loves a good bedtime story. Let's hope their love of reading continues to grow.

A few more Harrison-isms that we think are funny.
- Not too long ago when we would put him to bed, he would ask to be a car or a truck. We would have to "drive" him to bed. In the morning when we asked if he had a good sleep, he would respond, "yes, honk honk, beep, beep." I guess still thinking that he was a car. He stopped doing this a few weeks ago, but it went on for a few months. So cute!
- He likes to call all of us silly. He points to each person and tries to say "you're silly." But he can't say silly, he says "slay". We are all very slay!
- When Harrison is asked to do something, or if he is reprimanded for any reason, he often responds, "Okay Mommy, I will." But, it is very southern, " I we-ill". For example, if we tell Harrison not to pull Lily's hair, he contritely says "Okay Mommy, I we-ill." I think this is my favorite thing he does at the moment. He just sounds so cute.
