Class Party, Trick-or-Treating, and Our Playgroup Halloween Party!

I helped provide snacks for Lily's Halloween party at school this year.  Harrison and I stayed to watch the school costume parade, and then joined Lily and her class for the party.

Our angel and a few friends.

Lily and Harrison held up the parade because when they saw each other they had to have a hug.

Back inside for a few treats.

Lily was so excited to go trick-or-treating this year!  Harrison has not loved wearing his costume, so I figured he might put up a fight tonight.  But, he kept his costume on the whole time and was happy to be outside.  The weather was great, both kids loved seeing the other fun costumes, and they both loved getting candy.  At our first stop, Harrison kept trying to give the candy back, but he quickly got the hang of it.

We only go to a few houses on our street, so we do like to stop and chat with the neighbors briefly.  Harrison would have none of it.  As soon as he got his candy he would turn around to us and say, "let's go."  He's never used this phrase before, but obviously he wanted to keep moving.   The neighbors thought he was pretty funny.

Harrison's first piece of candy.  He kept trying to give it back.

Talking to our neighbor.  Harrison was intrigued by the golf carts.

After we walked around our neighborhood, we drove over to Papa and Grandma's house for some treats.  The kids were happy to get more candy and some special snacks that Grandma made for the occasion.  Lily especially loved helping pass out candy when the doorbell rang.  Harrison watched a little football with the men.

The next night was our 5th Halloween party with our playgroup friends.  Hmm, a lot has changed in 5 years.  If I've counted correctly we now have 14 kids between us.  And what a great group of friends they are!  Here's a trip down memory lane.

This year Harrison was a little shy and needed lots of cuddles with Mommy and Daddy.

All the kids were so sweet and played really well together.  Of course it looked like a tornado hit our house, but one that was full of fun and excitement.  We managed to get more group photos, but we were missing a couple of friends.  It's hard to get everyone rounded up, and one family arrived late.

This morning Lily asked if we could have another party today, and if we could go trick-or-treating tonight.  I think she had a great Halloween!
