Birthdays and Soccer Games

In the month of September we celebrate the birthdays of two very special people-- Pops and Papa.  This year we traveled to Martinsville to have cake with Pops.  And not just any cake, a super special candy cake that Lily got to help decorate.  She was very excited; her eyes as big as saucers as she unwrapped (and ate) the candy.  She said that Twix were her favorite, and then she decided that Rolos were her favorite, and then she said that the cake was her favorite, but she couldn’t stop eating the M&M’s.

Later in the week, we went to see Uncle Matthew’s soccer game.  This was a special evening because Grandma Karen bought Lily a special cheerleader outfit to add more spirit to our cheers.  Lily had a ball and decided that since she was dressed in red and white like Matthew, that she should get to go “through the fence” (she meant onto the field) and play soccer with the boys.  Papa decided she could go out during half-time and she was okay with that.  The rest of the time she cheered and shouted for the boys to run fast and score a goal.  We can’t wait to cheer Matthew to victory next time!

Here are a few pictures from our fun at home this week.

Harrison now loves the swing, especially when Lily pushes him very fast.
