We visited two pumpkin patches this year for a little fall fun! Evelyn is just happy being outside and walking around independently, so she had a great visit. Lily and Harrison enjoyed the bouncy houses, tractor rides, swings, slides, and throwing footballs.
First, we spent an afternoon at Phillips Farm in Cary. They have a lot of kid friendly activities. The kids each picked a pumpkin to bring home.
Freedom!
Playing in rocks is always fun.
Shooting basketballs.
Evelyn didn't love the corn this year, but Lily and Harrison sure did. I found corn kernels around the house for a week after this trip.
Another day we went to The Farm on Avent Ferry. This is a cute little family owned place, where we picked out our Christmas tree last year.
The cows were eating pumpkins.
Love this one.
Gotta dab for the camera.
Strike a pose.
Just her size. Evelyn loved these pumpkins.
Our little pumpkins.
We also carved our pumpkin. Harrison and I are never too excited about it. Luckily daddy and Lily have it all under control. We'll see what Evelyn thinks next year, but this time she wasn't interested at all. She was happy to run around playing peek-a-boo with mommy.
Harrison makes the same face every year. He always says he's going to touch the goop inside, but makes a disgusted face. This year he was really hamming it up for the pictures, but he truly doesn't like it. Lily, on the other hand, loves it! I guess this isn't shocking, based on her love of slime.
Lily designed the face, I drew it on the pumpkin, and Daddy made it happen. Not bad!
Here are some pictures of the kids on Halloween night. We invited Lily's friend Ava and her family over for pizza so we could all trick-or-treat together. Our medieval princess, Darth Vader, sweet little unicorn, and Belle all had a great time!
