Happy Birthday, Harrison! You're 3!

Harrison was so excited to turn three.  Now that his birthday has passed he tells us that he is almost four.  I guess we are always moving toward the next best thing.  Harrison, slow down and enjoy being three.

A little info. about Harrison at this age:

~He loves Paw Patrol,  Fire and Rescue, and playing with cars, trains, and planes
~His favorite foods are still mac n cheese, cheese quesadillas, pizza crust (no pizza), carrot sticks, strawberries, grapes, apples, and of course, mandarin oranges.
~He still refuses to wear underwear or attempt to use the potty.  When questioned about this he will tell you that he's NOT three yet, or he will use the potty at the new house.  Hmm...  We will wait to push the issue once we move.
~He can be very LOUD and loves to wrestle and rough house with Daddy and Lily.
~He doesn't need much sleep.  He does not nap, he doesn't fall asleep until after 9:30 most nights; though we put him to bed at 8pm.  He wakes up happy and ready to start the day by 6:15.  Oh how I wish he slept longer.  I do miss naptime.
~He is always talking about how he wants to grow taller, be faster, be bigger.  He compares himself to others all the time.  Who runs faster?  Who has the longest legs?  Who is taller?
~He says the sweetest night time prayers.  Asking God to give Lily happy dreams, praying for our family, etc/
~He knows all upper/lowercase letters and can tell me what a word starts with.  He can also sound out some cvc words if he is focused.  He watched Lily with this and wanted to join in.
~He can write an H pretty well, but isn't quite into writing yet.
~He can identify numbers up to 12, sometimes higher and can count to about 20.
~He still likes to cuddle, rock, and read stories before bed.

This year he asked for another party at Jump N Fun, and we happily obliged since there is not much you can do in February that keeps kids on the move.   We had a small family celebration with a Paw Patrol theme on the 27th, then his party the following day.

Here are some pictures of all of the fun.

He wanted to open presents before dinner and cake.

His birthday menu--mac n cheese, peas, nuggets, and bananas

 He also requested chocolate frosting.

Happy Birthday little buddy.  We love you!  I'll post the party pictures later.
