Beach Vacation

This summer we vacationed in Myrtle Beach with Mom, David, and Aunt Nancy.  We all enjoyed our time together.  The kids had a ball, and we had so much fun observing Lily and Harrison's excitement and boundless energy.  When asked what their favorite part of the beach trip was, both answered with a resounding, "EVERYTHING!"  That's a much better response than one we got after vacation a few years ago, when Lily said the best part of the trip was pulling into our driveway!

The weather was beautiful so we spent our mornings on the beach and our afternoons by the pool.  The kids enjoyed several rides at Broadway at the Beach, a trip to the South Carolina Children's Museum on our one rainy day, and Lily played mini-golf with Justin one afternoon.  Justin and I were also able to get in one date night (thanks, mom!).

Here are some pictures of our week of fun in the sun!

The kiddos loved riding in David's wheelchair.

Quiet time after baths.

David relaxing in the sun.  We all enjoyed the balcony.

Lolly and Lily looking for shells.

Harrison loved digging with Daddy's shovel.

I love that they were holding hands.

Tackle Daddy is a game that can be played anytime, anywhere!

The kids made chairs out of sand.

Making our sand castle.

Rides at Broadway.

Daddy/daughter date.

Watching for alligators and turtles while we waited for our dinner reservation.

More rides...we just beat the rain.

Banker Lily at the children's museum.

Trains, of course.

A gigantic light bright.

Aarrgg!  She gleefully put me in jail for stealing her treasure map.

A little game of "ice" hockey.

Bob the Builder has nothing on Lily.

As you can see we all had a great beach vacation!
