Decked out in Olaf and Elsa tshirts and watching Frozen before her party.

Lily came into the room, saw the decorations and food, and said, "Oh, I love this!"
Harrison got to open a present too, since I had a few things shipped from the Disney Store.
Lightning McQueen's best friend, Mater.
A Rapunzel tee, perfect for our trip to Disney in the fall.
Rapunzel and Tinker Bell dresses.
Lily said, "Daddy, you can be my prince."
A few things that I want to remember about Lily at this age:
- She is a shrewd negotiator and always has a lot of great plans to help her win her way (these do not always work, but I applaud her effort).
- Lily is excited to start kindergarten. She loves to sound out words and identify sight words. She often requests a chance to use Starfall.com (a reading and math website) so she can "get ready for kindergarten".
- Lily loves to dress up as royalty as you can see by her birthday gifts...she loves all things princess right now.
- She loves drawing and writing, and frequently asks to make a card for a friend. Our fridge is covered with her daily drawings.
- This child loves to play out in the dirt. She loves to pick up or squish ants, uses dried up worms in her mud pies to make us lunch, and loves to pretend that she is planting flowers. We really need a dirt pile for her pretend play outside. She would be in heaven.
- It sometimes seems as if Lily never stops talking, singing (often making up her own songs), and dancing. We often have singing and dancing parties in the kitchen.
- She has such a kind and gentle spirit. She always worries about others and will pray for people frequently. For example, when watching the World Cup soccer matches this week, if someone was injured, she worried about how hurt they might be, and even asked about them several days after the incident took place. And when one of her friends had a head injury last week, she asked constantly if he was better yet, and her eyes filled with tears as she talked about him, and she prayed that he would feel better quickly. Her preschool teachers commented regularly to me about how sweet she was to others, and how she would always try to help her classmates see the good in a situation, and hug them if they were hurt or upset.
- So many questions...Why did God make so many trees in the world? Why are some houses built on a hill? Why are there bad people in the world? Why do some families have three kids and we only have two? Why did Elsa freeze Anna's heart? (I hear that one EVERY time we watch the movie)
- She wants to know the name of almost every car we pass on the street or in the parking lot, and now Harrison wants to know too. Lots of car talk on a daily basis.
