Lily cuddled in a sleeping bag to watch a few videos.
We built a fort out of pillows, books, boxes, and wrapping paper scraps.
We read lots of books.
We stayed in our pjs and lounged around.
And repeat the above for several more days. Thankfully we are all feeling much better now.
Harrison has certainly been learning a few new things in the last week or two. He loves walking behind anything he can push-- a chair, a stool, and Lily's baby stroller. He has also learned to sign "more" and "all-done". We see the sign for "more" much more often than we see "all done". Our boy loves to eat! And, he now holds his hands up in the air when we ask him: "How big is Harrison?" Lily loved to play "So Big!" when she was his age too. Now they play together and they both giggle. It's so nice to hear their laughter especially when they are playing nicely together!
Even if he has 2 or 3 pieces left on his tray, he signs "more" to make sure he doesn't run out.
How big is Harrison? So big!
Lily participated in her first school performance this week. She and her classmates were angels in the Jamestown United Methodist Preschool production of "B" is for Bethlehem, a children's book that the preschool director read aloud while the children sang songs for several of the letters. It was adorable! We were so proud of Lily as she sang her heart out while doing hand motions. We captured most songs on video. Today while we were out running errands Lily asked if we could go back to school because she wanted to go on stage and sing her songs again.
Getting the class lined up and positioned.
Singing Go Tell it on the Mountain.
Lily's class is on the left. The older classes were center and the toddler classes were on the wooden steps in front. The youngest performers were calling out to their parents throughout the performance and getting up to run around. So funny.
Harrison was great throughout the show.
As Christmas approaches we still have a few fun things left to do. Lily and I are going to bake and decorate Christmas cookies and put together a gingerbread house. Hopefully, we can relax and enjoy the anticipation of the holiday. Merry Christmas, everyone!
