Harrison’s Stats: Weight-16 lbs, 10oz (50-75%); Height-27 inches (90-95%)
He’s growing well and the doctor has no concerns, though he still has some trouble with his ingrown toenails.
At a little over 4 months we introduced rice cereal which he takes easily, and now will open his mouth when he sees the bowl and spoon (like a little baby bird).
Harrison can roll front to back and back to front, he prefers sleeping on his stomach, and grasps toys more easily. We all love to make him laugh and we’ve captured some funny moments on video.
Harrison loves his exersaucer and spins himself around to play with the different toys.
He’s still sleeping at least 10 hours at night, but daily naptimes fluctuate. He’s supposed to be sleeping now, but I hear him talking after only being down for about 30 minutes.
I think we have a future television watcher on our hands. He will often stop eating and turn to the tv if it’s on, especially if he hears the voice of Murray or Elmo on Sesame Street. There’s just something fascinating about red, furry monsters.
Lily’s Stats: Weight-27 lbs (10-25%); Height-36.5 inches (25-50%)
What can I say, Lily’s a Lily. That’s her new favorite “game”. She thinks it’s hilarious to say, “Mommy’s a mommy,” “a cup is a cup,” “Harrison’s a Harrison,” etc. She can go on for several minutes listing people and objects in this manner and laughing.
We’ve had so much fun since Lily's turned three. She absolutely adores going to the pool this year and says she wants to swim herself. We need to get her a floating device of some kind because she is getting very bold, but she still doesn’t want to get her hair or face wet. Before going out in the sun she tells us that she needs her “sun scream” on.
Lily loves wearing jewelry and playing dress up. Luckily she received some fun dress up clothes for her birthday. Here’s a picture of Princess Lily and Princess Dani.
She continues to show improvement in toilet training and wears underwear with the exception of nap and bedtimes. She also likes to check Harrison’s diaper to see if he needs a diaper change.
She is sleeping great lately, often not waking until almost 8am and taking 2-3 hour naps which is very unusual for her. Now, if I could only get Harrison to nap this well.
Again I will say that we are blessed to have such perfectly happy and healthy children.
