We had fun as we celebrated Father's Day and two June birthdays this weekend. My parents came over for dinner on Friday night to spend time with us. Matthew will turn 16 on June 30th, but won't be home to celebrate because he is leaving this week on a mission trip to Brazil. He is traveling with the Charlotte Eagles and will be playing soccer with the kids that they meet in Brazil as well as ministering to them. Please pray for safe travel for all involved in the trip. We look forward to hearing all about Matthew's experiences abroad when he returns. Matthew also brought his birthday gift for Lily since he will miss her party this weekend. As you can see by the pictures, Lily loves her Uncle Matt and was eager to play with the fun picnic playset he gave her. After dinner Lily couldn't wait to show Grandma and Papa her new swing set.

On Sunday, I let Justin sleep in and fixed a pancake breakfast for us (his first gift). Afterwards, Lily helped Daddy open gifts before we headed to church. The rest of the day we spent working around the yard and the house, but we topped off the day by grilling steaks, asparagus, and corn on the cob for a very yummy Father's Day dinner.

Our family is very blessed to celebrate such special dads in our lives. Happy Father's Day to Justin, Papa, Pops, and Granddad. We love you all very much!
