February Fun!

For the shortest month of the year, we certainly get to pack in SO MUCH FUN in a short amount of time!  The Father Daughter dance is always a hit!  This year, we stayed with Papa the night of the dance.  Lily, Eliza, and their dads were dressed to impress!  First dinner, then dancing the night away.  I hope the girls will always cherish these special moments with their daddies.  They are growing up way too fast!

The next day...just hanging around with Papa.

February Birthdays

We celebrated my birthday with a night out at Mason Jar, so that we could dine on delicious S'mores in a jar for my birthday dessert.  The kids and Justin surprised me with a lovely sapphire ring (that the kids--mostly Lily-- helped pick out).  I also got some new shoes and socks too!  My birthday celebration extended into March when Mom came for the weekend so Justin and I could have a much needed date day!  We packed a lot in to our day...breakfast at Toast, trips to Costco and Buy Buy Baby, browsing furniture stores, a stop at La Farm bakery for amazing scones, later in the afternoon we stopped at Firebirds in North Hills for drinks and appetizers, a stop at a local book store, then dinner at OUR restaurant, Tiramisu.  Thanks Mom!  We are all thankful for your visit.

I also got balloons!

Our most important February birthday was Mr. Harrison's!  He had soccer practice on his actual birthday night, so we ate a quick dinner of tacos and quesadillas at home, and celebrated with cupcakes after practice.  Harrison didn't mind a bit--he was just happy that his soccer season is starting again!

Since our night was so busy, Harrison was allowed to open all of his presents first thing in the morning before school.  He got a new gaming system and his top requested FIFA 19 video game, so when he is not outside playing soccer he can be inside playing soccer :).  He was also very excited to receive a Messi jersey from all of the grandparents!

Last night as a 6-year old.

The weekend before his birthday, we hosted his party at Warrior Tech Gym.  Everyone had so much fun!  And after two weeks of nearly constant rain, all of the parents were happy to have the kids get some much needed energy out!  Harrison and Lily both watch American Ninja Warrior and American Ninja Warrior Jr., and they would love to have a ninja course set up in our house or backyard.  Since that can't happen, we take advantage of Warrior Tech parents night out on occasion.  Harrison was thrilled to have his party there too.

Also in February, the first grade presented a chorus concert about animals.  Harrison had a speaking part.  His line was:  I can be loud, but my voice can't be heard over ten miles, like the great wolf's howl.  Great job, buddy!
