Our Sunshine at 4 and 5-Months Old

Evelyn loves Lambie and Sophie the giraffe.

At four months, Evelyn was eager to play on her playmat, and was much more tolerant of tummy time.  She even rolled herself over sometimes.

We traveled home to meet Pops...finally!  It was difficult for me to travel for awhile, and it is difficult for Pops to travel here, so we were happy to visit for the afternoon.

Evelyn was the star of the show when I was the mystery reader in Lily's class one afternoon.  The kids did listen as we read Wonder, but everyone had to come over and smile and say hi to her too.

Evelyn loves story time herself.  Her favorite book was (and still is) Daddy Hugs by Karen Katz.  We have to read that one nightly.

I just had to share both pictures of these two cuties.  She adores her big brother and big sister.

Papa and Grandma Karen planned a visit, but Grandma got sick.  We were happy that Papa was able to spend a few hours with us though.  Lily taught him how to play a game she made up, and then Dad made paper airplanes for the kids to fly around the room.  It kept them entertained for quite awhile.

Lolly came to visit and brought a fun seat.  She loves being able to sit up within reach of a few toys/activities.  Thank you Lolly.

Before she actually got to eat anything, she still loved sitting up in her seat with us at the dinner table.

 Rolling over.

This was her favorite nap spot for quite awhile.

At almost 5 months, she had her first taste of rice cereal.  She was so happy.  I think it made her feel very big since she has been watching everyone else eat in front of her and she was ready.  Below, she had her first taste of apples.  So far she has tried apples, peas, bananas, and sweet potatoes.

We set up her new jumper in November.  It's lots of fun, and I can tell that she is going to do some serious bouncing and jumping once her feet can touch the floor just a bit more.

She discovered her feet.  I think this is just adorable!  Look at those eye lashes.
