Christmas 2016

We had a very busy and joyful Christmas holiday spending time with friends and family.  We also continued some of our favorite holiday traditions: going to The Tanglewood Festival of Lights to visit Santa, making a gingerbread house, and decorating Christmas cookies.  This is always such a wonderfully fun time of year! We cherish these memories!

Ready to see the lights!

After meeting Santa, we headed over to roast marshmallows.  The kids loved this!

The kids did a very professional job on our little gingerbread house this year.  They are growing up.

Next up, cookie decorating!

For some reason, usually both kids have a bit of a tummy ache after decorating.  Hmm, I wonder?

Lolly spent a few days with us in December.  She made a cute little wise man costume for Harrison's preschool Christmas performance.   Unfortunately for us (though I think Harrison was happy), he came down with a virus and had to miss school and the performance.  Thank you for your hard work anyway, Lolly!

We spent the afternoon with Papa and Grandma Karen and family on Christmas Eve.  We had a great visit, but the most memorable time had to be all of us gathered together around the prized Hatchimal waiting for him to hatch from his egg!  You never know what the hot toy of the season will be!

On Christmas morning the kids were in for some BIG surprises, and they weren't all from Santa!  We gifted them each a new suitcase with Disney shirts inside for our January trip to Disney World.

Next, we sat them down to show them a picture and to explain that God had blessed them with a new little brother or sister.  They were estatic, jumping up and down, yelling, saying they had wanted one so much!  It was such a special moment.  This new baby is going to have amazing big siblings!

After all of the morning excitement, we packed up and headed to Virginia to visit with Justin's family. The kids were ready to share their exciting news.  Lily and Harrison always have fun at Grammy and Granddad's.
