The most important night of the year...the Father/Daughter Sweetheart Dance! Following our tradition of going with Eliza and Zack, we picked Lily up from school just a little early and met the Hensons at their house for dinner. Lily's teacher told us that she thinks Lily was more excited for the dance than Christmas, as it was all she could talk about all day (probably all week)! The dads and girls had a ball at the dance. They stayed the entire time, witnessing the balloon drop for the first time, and bringing a few balloons home with them.
Two very excited daughters getting ready to leave.
Lily picked out Justin's tie for the occasion. It matched her dress perfectly!
Dads even bought flowers for their dates. Lily said she felt like a bride.
Of course, I had to get a few shots of these two sillies. They couldn't wait to play.
Here's a look at our fun dancing girls! Lily was trying to guess what the ice sculpture would be as we drove to Greensboro. The decor always features a beautiful ice sculpture.
All the girls were very excited about the balloon drop at the end of the night.
Another wonderful Father/Daughter dance in the books! I love that Lily and Justin have this great tradition to look forward to every year.
