Getting Ready for Christmas!

Harrison was so adorable at his preschool Christmas program.  He seems to have a love for entertaining.  You can't quite tell in these pictures, but at points he was really hamming it up and making silly faces to the audience.  Harrison is definitely beginning to develop his own sense of humor.

His face lit up when they made their grand entrance.

The only one who remembered to take a bow.

Cookies and hot chocolate to celebrate.

We took the kids to see the Laurie Berkner Band in Raleigh one weekend.  It was a GREAT concert!  We hear her music alot on our Pandora music station and I thought going to her Christmas concert would be a hit.  It was super kid friendly, obviously.  I would say she focuses on the 8 and younger crowd.  Many of the kids, including ours, were dancing in the aisles and they even went up front like groupies to hang out by the stage to dance and sing.  Kids were encouraged to bring their favorite doll or stuffed animal because she does a song about animals sitting on her head.  All the kids cheered when that song started.  We took some videos of the dancing.  Too funny!

Waiting for the show to begin.  Lily wanted to be fancy for the concert.

Our friends from Chicago came home for the holidays, so we invited everyone for a playgroup reunion.  Happily, almost everyone was able to make the trip the week of Christmas.  The kids had so much fun (moms did too)!  It was a wild time.  Luckily it was warm enough to venture out to the playground after the kids grew tired of playing inside.

The only convenient time to take a picture was when everyone was sitting quietly to eat.

Even Harrison wanted to hold sweet baby Daphne.

We continued our tradition of decorating a ginger bread house.  Lily is always very focused on the task, but this year Harrison showed a great interest as well.  Next year we may need to get two!

 Such concentration

They were pleased with their work.
